Time management is planning and controlling how you spend your time on different activities to be more efficient, get more done, and feel less stressed.

We can manage time by viewing each day as a gift from God (Psalm 31:15), prioritising spiritual growth and serving Him above all else (Ephesians 5:1), planning diligently (Proverbs 21:5) to avoid waste, learning to say “no” to distractions, balancing work with rest (Mark 6:31), and working diligently (Ecclesiastes 9:10) for His glory (Colossians 3:17).

Proverbs 12:11 teaches that hard work brings security and satisfaction, contrasting the diligent farmer who “tills his land” and has “plenty of bread” with the foolish person who “follows worthless pursuits” or “chases fantasies” and lacks sense, emphasizing that diligent labour provides sustenance while chasing empty dreams leads to folly and emptiness.

Mark 13:32-37 teaches to stay alert and prepared for his unknown return, emphasizing that only God the Father knows the time, not even the Son or angels, using a parable of a house owner leaving servants to watch for his sudden arrival at any hour (evening, midnight, rooster crow, or morning) to stress the need for constant vigilance and readiness, not speculation about dates, through faithful living and spiritual watchfulness.

Luke 21:34-36 instructs believers to guard their hearts from distractions and to pray for strength to overcome spiritual sleepiness and stand before the Son of Man.
