When facing life alone, the Bible offers comfort by promising God’s constant presence, strength, and companionship. Isaiah 41:10, promises that God will strengthen and hold you, and Deuteronomy 31:6, assures that He will never fail or abandon you.

In 1 Corinthians 7:25-38, Paul advises singleness over marriage due to “present distress” (likely persecution or societal hardship) and the brevity of time, allowing undivided devotion to God. While marriage is not sinful, Paul argues, it brings worldly anxieties and distractions, making it better to remain single, though both states are valid choices.

1 Corinthians 12:1-31, teaches that spiritual gifts are diverse manifestations of the Holy Spirit given to every believer for the “common good,” not personal superiority. Paul emphasizes unity in diversity, stating that while gifts differ (wisdom, faith, healing, etc.), they come from the same Spirit and are distributed as He wills to build up the church. While the Holy Spirit gives diverse spiritual gifts to individuals according to His will, all gifts unite believers into one body, just as a human body has many parts, the church requires different, interdependent members, making unity essential and superiority-based comparisons foolish. All church members are essential parts of one body (Christ), regardless of how “weak” or “insignificant” their gifts seem.
