The root of loneliness isn’t the absence of other people but an inner absence-you don’t have a centered awareness of your true self. Your true self is your spirit, which is infinite and eternal. Its qualities include love, compassion, joy, creativity, intuition and bliss.
During Jesus’ Farewell Discourse, He instructs His disciples in John 14:15-31, how the Holy Spirit has been made known in the past, present and future. As we learn how this impacts our lives today, may our hearts be a home for the Holy Spirit to dwell in as we obey His commands, flee from sin, and share the hope of Jesus with others.
The Holy Spirit serves as our Counsellor who speaks the truth to us. The Spirit never forces us to act, but guides us in the way of truth.
Do not feel lonely, because God loves you, He wants to transform you, so He sends His word – His commandments – so you will be a good man with a good heart that brings forth what is good in your life.
